Company Values

So feel free to copy and paste for your own use; feel free to forward to a friend. When it comes to using a service that makes your life a little bit better, it’s good knowing the provider of that service is acting in your self-interest as well. You should settle for nothing less elsewhere.

So seriously, that we feel it necessary to commit to a policy of full disclosure. That is, we want you to trust us as a company and the best way we can earn your trust is to have a quality experience and reliable service as well as give you full notice of our intentions for developing it into a profitable and sustainable business. In the spirit of disclosure we thought you’d like to know that we are asking ourselves some pretty important questions, which may affect your decision to join the site. Those questions are:
- How are our company values and member rights affected by advertising and advertisers?
- How are our company values and member rights affected by trends in identity theft and identity management?
- How do we build a brand of trust? How do we fulfill on that promise?
- How will we work with other services like photo and video-sharing services to guarantee our members’ rights and our company values?
- Who is our audience - soccer moms, digerati, advertisers or everyone in-between?
- How do we enable this conversation in a non-abrasive context?
- What kind of culture do we want to build - exhibitionism or realism? How do we counterbalance exhibitionismnism with dialogue? How do we create an environment where people listen as much as talk?
As a co-founder, CEO and active member of Dandelife.com, I eagerly await your response to this missive. Hopefully, you’ll respond with your dedication to becoming a member and sharing your stories along with mine. But if you choose not to, I would hate for it to be because you thought we did not respect your rights as much as we respect your memories and our business.
Sincerely,
CEO and Co-Founder of Dandelife.com
